TMJ
We have physical therapists on staff who are trained in the treatment of disorders of the jaw and cervical spine.
The jaw or temporomandibular joint (TMJ) can produce pain and limited movement of the jaw joint and the muscles that control jaw movement. Those with TMJ disorder may also have pain in the ear, face, neck and head. Disorders of the TMJ often will occur with abnormal functioning of the neck which can lead to pain and headaches.
Treatment for this area includes a combination of specialized manual therapy techniques and specific exercises designed to improve posture, mobility, and to reduce pain.
